Tell us about a deep soul connection that you’ve experienced. So far, I’ve only had a few deep soul connections with a few females in my life. One is a dear friend Jackie and she’s also a heart worker. Her nurturing skills, kindness and spiritual gifts and wisdom helped me get my life back on track, after feeling lost in life for a while. She encouraged me to explore my own spirituality and power. Her incredible spiritual gifts like her clairvoyance ability also inspired me. I honestly believe that my angels/guardians/spirit guides bought her to me to get me back on track in life and to live my life from my heart and desires, rather than living the dogma and beliefs of other people in my life. After that life felt better and got better so I’m now enjoying life more than ever.

butterflyI’m also grateful to a few ex-girlfriends who mirrored me and my beliefs at those times, and were loving and showed me my own views and beliefs in life through those relationships. Those relationships were what I could allow into my life at those times, with the beliefs and views I had. With the benefit of hindsight, I can thank those girlfriends for the powerful lessons they taught me and showed me things about myself which I was previously unaware of. Those high feelings of love you feel when are with a partner who you feel gets and understands you are divine and heavenly. As life changes and your beliefs change, relationships change too and for my benefit and theirs, those relationships were left behind and I genuinely appreciate those women and send my love and best wishes. They showed me how could life can be with a compatible partner and enriched my soul.

SanjayDescribe one of the most soul-opening moments of your life. One of my most soul-opening moments was in the summer of 2009, when I got myself into a happy and positive state of being by listening to music I felt uplifted by. I then decided to take advantage of this blissful state of being and use this opportunity to visualise things that I wanted in my life. The deliberate thoughts and feelings caused me to lose myself in my own energy, as if I was one with my soul/inner being. I was lying down on my bed and I could no longer feel parts of my body like my legs and arms as energy rushed through my body, almost like a ship in the sea gliding through the water. It was a unique and pleasurable state of being which I hope I can repeat again sometime.

When do you feel your most soulful? I am a person who is very sensitive to my physical senses. This wasn't easy to deal with growing up but I now know better and have accepted this sensitivity and embrace it. So the simple things in life make me feel the most alive, whether that’s eating a delicious meal or listening to happy, fun and uplifting music I can sing and dance to. I also love reading a good spiritual book such as The Vortex by Jerry and Esther Hicks or The Soulmate Experience by Mali and Joe! :) I also like taking pictures of wildlife and nature on my digital camera.

Being on a beach on a hot and sunny day makes me feel alive like nothing else. The fresh sea breeze, blissful sound of the sea, the softness of the sand and warm sunshine light really awakens my soul and makes me feel at one with life. Add some audio to that of a wise spiritual teacher on my iPhone, and that’s my idea of heaven.

Where have you felt the most in touch with your own soul? One of the places that stands out for me is the home of my late grandparents in India. It’s a huge modern house in a small village of mud huts, with a lot of surrounding land and is 5 minute walk to the beach. Being a small village next to the jungle, you get beautiful wild animals from peacocks, monkeys, butterflies, bird, wild cats and dogs, snakes, very rarely big cats like leopards and tigers, and also Insects and many beautiful multi coloured plants, flowers and trees. The sunshine, colours, wildlife, food and nature make it easy for me to lose myself and to be at one with my soul in those conditions. It’s hard to be anything but happy, relaxed and calm in that environment, compared to my westernised, city life in Birmingham in the UK, which is busy and always in hurry. It also brings back happy memories of playing in the house as a child with my loving grandparents who have since long departed this physical life.

peacock

Who is one of the most soulful people you’ve ever known? One that jumps to mind is the 5-year-old daughter of a friend of mine. With her mother being very wise spiritually, this young angel has been bought up in an environment of love and acceptance, and she beams happiness and acknowledges her own self worth and love, playful sharing her joy and love to the people in her life. She is delightful to see and follows her heart in every aspect of her life. She knows in her heart who she really is and her own personal power.

What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? Freedom, communication, acceptance and growth are the keys to a soul mate experience and good relationship in my opinion. Freedom to be yourself and be comfortable as individuals, but also comfortable with each other. And under those conditions, emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth as individuals and as a couple is natural and comfortable. And of course acceptance fully of the other person in the relationship accepting their wants and desires. That is a wonderful basis to have a thriving relationship in.

beachWhat do you feel your soul’s purpose is? In general, I think it’s the purpose of all souls to come into this physical life and rediscover themselves and their own preferences despite which path or challenges you face in life. For me personally, I think my soul’s purpose in this lifetime is to learn peace, acceptance, freedom and contentment with the life around me. I also think it’s my soul’s desire to live life from the heart and to build the life I want specific to my wants and desires. And using my own unique spiritual gifts like nurturing and compassion, to guide, help and heal people who I come across in life with my own knowledge and experiences and growing from these experiences.

I’d like to thank Mali and Joe for interviewing me and send my love and appreciation for their wonderful book, The Soulmate Experience. Sharing this kind of love and wisdom in a book is great for all spiritual people and heart workers and helps people come together with common interests.

Love, light and blessings to anyone who is reading this. If anyone feels inspired to do so, they can connect with me on Facebook or twitter.

I would like to thank Mali and Joe for sharing their gifts through their writing and also giving me the opportunity to share what I am working on. I hope you all will find a little inspiration from my story and stay open to what love has to offer you. Please visit my blog or connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

MagdelenaTell us a little about yourself. My name is Magdelena and I am the gal behind Callalilylife. The word calla means beautiful, and after experiencing two ugly, life-changing setbacks I decided it was time to take control of my attitude and create a beautiful life for myself. Instead of asking, “Why me?” I decided it was time to ask, “Why NOT me?” Why can’t I use these setbacks to leap forward? Why can’t I have the career I have dreamed of for so many years, but never had the faith in myself to pursue?

Since then I have made it my passion to empower women who, like me, might have a great desire to create more beauty in their lives, but are uncertain how to begin and how to stay motivated. Through my local women's group, blog, and certification as a life coach, I hope to continue to build on this passion. My journey is fresh, honest, and most importantly a continuous work in progress. At any point we can be “reborn” and create an opportunity for change. Big or small, we all deserve the chance to make our dreams come true. I deserve it, and so do you.

Tell us about a deep soul connection that you’ve experienced. I have had the great fortune to experience more than a handful of deep soul connections, but the one that stands out is the one that taught me the incredible power I have within me to forgive. I truly believe a soul connection can only reach great heights if it is mutual, and for this relationship it reached higher heights than I ever thought emotionally possible for me. However, it also profoundly hurt me. There is a quote from The Soulmate Experience that comes to mind: “Remind yourself that a true invitation is free of obligation.” I invited this person into my heart, and they hurt me. What came after all the tears, the anger, and the disappointment of expectations left unmet was the realization that my love for this person was bigger than the hurt. At the core of our relationship there was unconditional love. You can hurt me, but I know you better than this hurt, and I love you more than this hurt. In turn, their love for me was such that their hurting me caused them a similar self-reflection. On both ends there was pain and the ultimate desire to forgive. This is still something I am figuring out, but it is as real of a soul connection as it can get for me! A deep soul connection not only molds you into a wiser person, but a more compassionate one as well.

Magdelena and DadDescribe one of the most soulful people you’ve ever known. The most soulful person I know is my father. He is the most humble man I know. His honest thoughts on life all stem from experience and the openness to learn from everything that has happened to him. Every person he interacts with will either laugh, leave wiser, or both! He will tear up at times when he speaks of his love for his daughters, he is quick to let me know my worth when I question it, and he loves my mother with a loyalty unmatched. No questions, no doubt, and no confusion as to how he feels about all his girls. This to me is soulful—to be so openly vulnerable in life, to be willing to get hurt, and to know that even if you do you will always make the choice to have it build on your personal growth, not destroy it. You share everything you are, and you positively pass it on.

Magdelena

What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? A soulful relationship between any two people is open. Open to giving love, and knowing how to receive it. Open to being vulnerable, and open to experiencing the risk of being hurt. Open to asking questions, and staying open to what the answers might be! A soulful relationship includes the one you have with yourself—allowing yourself to love you in the same manner you love others, and recognizing that healthy self-care is essential to extended healthy relationships.

What do you feel your soul’s purpose is? My soul’s purpose is to help others help themselves. This starts with me. Which is my journey right now—helping myself grow emotionally, taking more risks by sharing my thoughts with the world via social media—and I am finding the more I care for my soul and its purpose, the more opportunities arise to help others. This is my ultimate joy and passion.

Thank you, Magdelena, for sharing a little about your life with us. ~Mali & Joe, authors of The Soulmate Experience: A Practical Guide to Creating Extraordinary Relationships, 52 Prescriptions for Happiness, and the upcoming book The Soulmate Lover, and creators of Mantras for Making Love

Describe one of the most soul-opening moments of your life.

Being the youngest child brought on an allowance of things I couldn't have gotten away with had I been either of my two older siblings. Not that I could get away with more, but because I learned from their mistakes and covered my tracks more efficiently when I was being mischievous. All this turned into a little punk kid who felt he could do no wrong, who was invincible and without consequences and accountability. I lived a life like a young kid lived life, having a series of meaningless relationships one after another without a clear understanding of what I wanted from life or any relationship.

Me and my dad Alberto when I was a baby. It's my favorite picture with him.

Me and my dad Alberto when I was a baby. It's my favorite picture with him.

Nothing much changed until June 11 2003, eight days before my birthday, when my father died... You see, my father was not the greatest man alive; he had faults and shortcomings, far from perfect. But he was my father, strict and stern when he had to be. He was physically strong and powerful but also the sweetest, kindest and most gentle man I have ever met. He seemed hardened and unattached from a rough childhood filled with pain and poverty, but all those who knew him would laugh at that because they knew of a man who lived to serve his family and loved ones. He had sweet and loving nicknames for me and my siblings that only he was to call us by.

I could fill pages detailing my father and what I cherish of him during his life. But it was his last seconds on earth that defined what I believe is love. On that day, a minute or two before he passed, he became restless, tossing and turning; at this point cancer had won the battle and his soul prepared to leave his body. He was restless because the woman that had spent over three decades by his side was not near and he desperately needed her assurance that he could go in peace.

As my mother rushed into the room, I stood in the doorway seeing the greatest man I had ever met, the man who protected me, loved me and taught me many lessons, lying there helpless against this disease and I could not do anything for him. I was heartbroken and torn inside but still had a calm that he taught me to have in one of his many lessons about difficult situations. My mother went to his side, held his hand and asked if he was okay as she ran her hand across his face gently and lovingly. As all this happened he leaned his head back as if her words and touch were a strong painkiller, stronger than morphine: her love. He mumbled a few incoherent words, gave three deep breaths and passed away.

That instant I knew that life is a series of independent moments linked by their continuity. I realized that, at that last moment in life when I give my last breath, I want that person I love, not perfectly but purely, holding my hand letting me know it is okay... My soul-opening moment was when my father gave the last lesson he would impart on me: "No matter how strong a man or woman is, he or she will need to be comforted by the love he shared with someone else."

This is me and my sweet mom. She went with me to memorial Sloan Kettering cancer center where I donate platelets every so often for cancer patients.

What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has?

I think two of the qualities are understanding and compassion. You cannot love someone if you do not understand why they do what they do. We all have a reason that makes us behave in a certain manner; when we look at someone we look at the behavior and not the reason for it. The behavior makes us judge, the reason shows us the why, and when we learn the why, well, that's compassion and it allows us not to try and change someone but accept them for who they are.

What do you feel your soul’s purpose is?

I'd be lying if I told you I know when sometimes I’ll stare at my fridge for ten minutes wondering what the heck I'm going to eat for breakfast! I don't know what the purpose of my soul is, but I do know that I need to help people. I don't have the means to help all the people I would love to help, but doing what very little I can do for those who need it most—that's what I feel I need to do and maybe someday down that road as I’m helping in whatever I can, I’ll figure out what my soul’s purpose is.

Tell us about a deep soul connection that you’ve experienced.

My first deep soul connection was with a man I met here in Florida. I moved from Chicago after being coaxed by my retired ex to mend our broken 25-year marriage. It didn’t take long for me to realize I was never going to experience that special connection I always desired to have with a man that was consistently unfaithful.

Spiritually broken, I knew I had to concentrate on healing myself, find a job and meet my own circle of friends. I started working for a property management company when I met him, the deep soul connection.

There was something intriguing about this man. Although I had lost all faith in men, I found myself wanting to get to know him. After a couple of weeks I felt so comfortable with him because he listened and never judged me for speaking my mind. There were times we didn’t agree on the same topic, but it was ok. We shared our heartbreaking life experiences without shame. He became my first male friend and I loved it! I found my thought process changing and started gaining my confidence back. I felt my life had purpose again.

gloria2When I grew emotionally stronger, I finally made the decision to end the relationship that took a total of 29 years to drain my soul of every bit of “ME” and moved out of the house. For the first time in my life I felt independent. That sense of freedom was great.

After a while I realized why this man crossed my path in life. I needed to regain what my marriage destroyed, which was my perception of men. It was to learn how to have a meaningful, respectful friendship with men, to have faith in them and not be afraid.

What was one of the most soul-opening moments of your life?

My most soul-opening moment was my first date after my final separation from a 29-year-long relationship. I had been living the life of an independent woman for over a year, yet was not looking for love. Although I was beginning to feel comfortable in my skin, just the thought of going on a date with a man frightened me. I looked for any excuse to not go out on one. You couldn’t blame me. I was out of the dating scene for 29 years.

Then it happened. I met a man on the internet in January of 2012. We started sending emails back and forth daily. He invited to take me out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. Although we had been communicating by email, I was reluctant because I did not know anything about him. I declined the invitation and explained why. He was so respectful in accepting my decision but stated the offer would remain open even if I decided at the last minute to go.

I was incredibly nervous and yet excited. I started feeling so comfortable after a few days and accepted his dinner invitation. The day before Valentine’s Day, he had the largest, most beautiful bouquet of red roses delivered to me. Even the delivery guy complimented they were beautiful!

The day was finally here. My daughter, son, family and friends were delighted. I was finally going out on a date with a man I met on the internet. I must say this was something totally out of character for me. One thing I’ve learned, choices are placed before you. One must choose that which brings us joy.

It was after 6:00 pm, the doorbell rang and my heart sank into my stomach. Oh my, was I nervous. I opened the door and there he stood tall and extremely handsome. It was an OH MY GOSH moment! I invited him in to meet my son and daughter, chatted for a while then we proceeded outside to find a limo. How awesome was that. We were driven to a fabulous restaurant and had the most amazing time. Not only was he handsome, but also very intelligent. I didn’t want the night to end.

On our way out we decided to take a stroll. Being Florida, the night was perfect. As we waited for the limo, he held a rose petal up to my nose and told me to smell it. When I did, he moved the petal away and kissed me. It felt so incredible. It unleashed a passion that had been buried deep within me and could not contain it. We walked over to the limo and started the drive back home. The kissing continued. I felt my soul awaken from a deep slumber. I felt alive for the first time in my life. Till this day, when he kisses me, it still feels like the first time.

glorialanaiWhere in the world have you felt the most in touch with your own soul?

I feel the most in touch with my soul when I’m sitting out on my lanai. I live in a condo located on along the seawall of the Caloosahatchee River. It faces the bridge which connects North Fort Myers and downtown Fort Myers. I have a first row seat to the Nature Show: dolphins swimming, stingrays skimming the water, fish jumping, an assortment bird species including an occasional bald eagle fly by. The view is spectacular!

Every day I witness the beginning and the end of the day, through the daily sunrise and sunset. When I sit there, I feel the presence of God. I feel as if He waits for me to sit and to share my most inner thoughts. It’s where He gives me that sense of peace when I’m not sure about something. It’s my refuge.

Who is one of the most soulful people you’ve ever known? One of the most soulful people I know is my friend Juana from Chicago. I met her when I was 17 years old. Our souls immediately connected. It was almost as if I had known her throughout my life. This is a friend I can speak to about anything in confidence and would never break it. She’s a true friend that has always remained by my side, even when I made the poorest decisions.

What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? I don’t think I’m qualified to answer that question just yet, only because I’m still learning. I do believe that in a relationship, you must give and take. It’s not always about what “I” want and it’s not always about what “they” want. It’s finding a happy medium, being supportive of each other in everything. Couples should feel comfortable about communicating and different types of intimacy. I believe couples should give each other some freedom as long as there isn’t any disrespect involved. Most importantly, I believe a relationship should have lots of romance in any way, shape or form.

gloriaWhat do you feel your soul’s purpose is? I feel my soul’s purpose as well as everyone’s soul’s purpose is to be there for each other. Just go up to someone, pull up a chair, sit and say, “Hello, I’m here” and smile. I believe there is a reason for meeting every person that has entered our lives.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us? Learn to love life regardless of what is thrown at you. If you spend too much time trying to figure things out, you may miss out on the big lesson being taught. Love the moment you’re in now, you may never get another chance. Remember, one day you are going to feel a tap on the shoulder and a voice will say, “It’s time to come home. Did you have fun?” What is your answer going to be?

Thank you, Gloria, for sharing your story! ~Mali & Joe, authors of The Soulmate Experience: A Practical Guide to Creating Extraordinary Relationships52 Prescriptions for Happiness, and the upcoming book The Soulmate Lover, and creators of Mantras for Making Love

Describe one of the most soul-opening moments of your life. I was never a religious or spiritual person, in fact quite the opposite. But then I experienced something that opened my eyes and changed my life forever.

My daughter and husband were in a car accident with a transport truck. It was a very foggy day; the truck was stopped for a school bus. My husband literally drove into the back of it because he didn't see the truck until it was too late. The car was totaled. Luckily it was a large old Mercury Marquis, and the long front end took all of the impact literally right up until the windshield. It was amazing my husband wasn't badly hurt.

The first car on scene almost rear-ended my husband by avoided a collision. He was an off-duty fireman and had some road flares in the car so he put them out so other cars went around the accident.

Stephanie 1My daughter was 3 at the time and upset. Luckily a farmer and his wife (a retired ER nurse) helped my husband out and my daughter was safe and sound in their home.

When I got to the accident and saw the car, my heart sank. I went to find my daughter and started speaking to the amazing woman looking after her. I realized all were okay that day except for a few bruises.

When I got home, I just felt this incredible peace come over me and a voice that said "you're taken care of". We are truly taken care of, if you slow your life down, be at peace, and pay attention you will feel the flow of life. Everything you need is around you. From this moment I started discovering what spirituality means to me, developing my intuition, practicing Reiki therapy connecting with energy and I continue to this day to deepen and expand it.

When do you feel your most soulful? I feel the most soulful doing things I love and have always been a part of my life such as playing baseball, dancing, singing, and running the trail my grandfather used to take me on as a kid. I love reiki and working with energy. Being with my daughter is always an amazing experience and connection; she warms my heart. I'm most in tuned with myself early morning 3-5am sometimes I find myself awake at this time working on something that I clearly need to work on and enjoy doing.

Stephanie 5Where have you felt the most in touch with your own soul? Being on the trail my grandfather used to take me hiking as a kid really is my power source. I relax, unwind, ask him for guidance... he's always around me when I'm there. I'm truly at peace and feel completely safe.

What do you feel your soul’s purpose is? My soul's purpose is to help bring people up to a level where they can live their dream life and bring the inside to the outside. So many people are living life to be happy without truly doing the work to just be happy living their own life being who they are. Nothing outside of you will ever make you feel truly connected to yourself. So many people are stuck in fear and societal programming. I want to help them with that, I want to help them change their life like I did with mine.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us? I just wanted to thank you for the opportunity to share myself with others. I truly enjoyed your book The Soulmate Experience it has been exactly what I needed while I continue to work on myself.

BaseballWhat I do: I'm blessed enough to have many different vehicles to share my purpose with others. I'm a Registered Nurse in the ER and love the health teaching, reassuring aspect of my job. Outside of my work hours I'm involved with my baseball organization www.iheartbaseball.ca that focuses on the mind, body, and spirit of player development and being a part of a team.

Describe one of the most soul-opening moments of your life. In the month of January 2013 I met the other half of my soul, my twin flame, and didn't know it. Our relationship was really fast and we both knew something was up. We had an amazingly psychic connection, we had a million connections and yet we were different. We both felt like we were a combination of every person we ever loved or dated!? I felt like every moment in my life led up to him. I think when he proposed we were twin flames that was one of the most soulfull moments and the other was the night we made love!

For the first time in either of our lives we joined with another's soul! We both had the best experience of our lives and I forgot anyone I'd ever been with. It was like living for the first time.

What do you feel your soul’s purpose is? I'm not sure what my life purpose is. But my dream is to be the next Oprah with a Tim Burton twist! I love learning new things and telling what I've learned. I love the idea of bringing people to a new level of understanding and increasing Love on this planet. I want to bridge gaps, educate, de-stress, share knowledge to dispell ignorance.

Who is one of the most soulful people you’ve ever known? One of the most soulfull people I ever met is Harry J. Sheetz. He is the author of two books, What Is Life About? and About Your Soul. I met him at a lecture at a local store called Crystal Fantasy. He's very advanced and psychic. He is a great healer and a bit controversial but you know he is in touch with the Universe. He changed me forever.

Where in the world have you felt the most in touch with your own soul? What makes this place special for you? For me I feel most soulfull at the Ocean! There can be clouds, fog, sun, no waves, hurricane waves... I don't care. When I am at the edge of the shoreline or even driving by the Ocean I feel totally at peace. I believe there is an order to the Universe, that no matter what problems I face I will get through it, that as upset as I may be... I breathe and let go. Then I connect my Heart and mind to the waves and just feel connected to everything. One of my favorite days at the beach was Long Beach Island. There was a thick fog and you couldn't see 6 inches in front of you and it was super sunny. I heard waves and children laughing and it appeared that I was walking in the clouds! I just felt like Heaven was literally on Earth and when I want to remember a great memory I think of that day. Magick can happen anywhere anytime, that's what the Ocean reminds me

What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? How do I know a soulfull relationship? I don't always know.. Sometimes it takes me 20 years to know. To me a soulfull connection does not always feel good, sometimes my soulfull connections are to teach me a lesson about myself so I am sometimes revolted by an experience! It takes me days or years to realize the most painful experience is the greatest lesson for my soul. And the more positive soulfull experiences can be subtle or overwhelming. I've felt soulfull connections with strangers, friends, family, lovers, enemies, animals!? In some ways I feel every experience is soulfull. I believe every moment has a meaning wether we acknowledge it or not. I'm forever greatfull for everyone that has touched me in this life... Good or bad.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us? The only thing I'd like to add is… Is that even though my twin flame and I broke up, I have hope. I know what separated Us is that we both have inner work to do.

I really hope and pray that everyone finds endless soul connections every day! I struggle to know my self and truly love myself more than ever, I'm so far from perfect! But I'm actually proud I even want to try to love, having had a life of endless horrors. I just want to reach out to that person struggling and maybe losing hope. Love is the only power and your not alone. I just want to plant a seed of Hope that you will know Endless Love and Bliss no matter what that means to your soul. Just don't give up. Miracles happen All the time! Hold out for the Miracle, you’re worth it!!

Thank you for being here! ~Mali & Joe, authors of The Soulmate Experience: A Practical Guide to Creating Extraordinary Relationships52 Prescriptions for Happiness, and the upcoming book The Soulmate Lover, and creators of Mantras for Making Love

When do you feel your most soulful? Some years ago, I met some wonderful friends who taught me about conscious breathing. To feel the miracle of life in every breath. So wonderful and simple!

I have a very big connection with my friends. We feel deep in our hearts when we are sad or we need to be heard. And the most curious thing, sometimes I feel a very deep connection with some people I don't know in person. It may be incredible, but it's true. As we are together through the distance. Very beautiful feeling.

Describe one of the most soul-opening moments of your life. One of the most soul-opening moments in my life is every time I practice Tai-Chi in nature, and every time I feel anything in silence with a friend. And, of course, breathing!

Where in the world have you felt the most in touch with your own soul? My neighbourhood's park. And by the sea. In these places, I find myself.

Describe one of the most soulful people you’ve ever known. I have a friend I met learning Tai-Chi. She's like my sister. She sees life as I do, and it's so easy to talk to her about my worries and feelings.

What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? For me, a soulful relationship has to have confidence. And friendship is very important for me. Love ourselves, and keep our own space. And of course, respect the other one's space.
Also sensuality and tenderness. ♥ I've always thought we would have soulful relationships with people that would come and go in our lives, but the right ones would never leave our hearts. We would look at each other's eyes and it would be as if we were looking at each other's souls.

What do you feel your soul’s purpose is? I think my soul's purpose is to be myself, to love myself, and believe that I deserve to be loved. To learn that Love is the most important thing, the energy that moves the world. And then, express it to the people.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us? Yes, thanks to everybody who's reading me, and to you too! It's an honor for me! Don't forget breathing, see everything as if you were a child, and Love, Love, Love!!!

We'd love to hear about a deep soul connection you’ve experienced. The first soul connection began with myself. My early days were a bumpy road. Self-preservation was a matter of survival in childhood, both physically and emotionally. I needed normal but I didn't know what that was. Poverty and a lifestyle of drug use are my earliest memories.

Unconditional Love began as welcoming the innocent child of self and knowing I had many uncertainties, which I honestly looked at in my late 20's. There has been a lot of trial and error to learning along this journey I have found. As time has gone on and as I've had more experiences in life, it hasn't gotten easier, yet much of the feelings I feel make more sense and there’s the joy in knowing that in life we do have choices. Knowing that is worthy of celebration!

Another choice, a big one, is happiness. I've grown in ways I never thought possible, and that is that deep soul connection. I feel that happiness is also a responsibility. This is my continual work in progress. Have you heard the saying, or can you recall this quote: you cannot truly love someone until you learn to love yourself? Wholeheartedly I'm a believer.

The soul connections in my life today are a healthy absolute joy to behold. I love my friends and family in my life fully. It's important to keep love honest and real, and that's an inside job. As the quote goes: "To Thine Own Self be True." The soulmate connection is about being a healthy, whole human being. On a soul level, I am thankful for my childhood because that's when the lesson started. I'm thankful for it because it has made life richer. I'm thankful and can connect on a soul level in ways I never dreamt possible.

What is one of the most soul-opening moments of your life? Being a foster parent to babies and small children was by far one of the most intense soul-opening moments of my life. I took this opportunity and challenge on for several reasons. One to grow as a woman. I felt that my motherly skills needed to be opened up more as well as healed from my own past choices.

The first baby I fostered was a newborn who was a failure to thrive, addicted to drugs in utero. Loving this baby felt as if we, both baby and myself, blossomed with healing and Life on a soul level. This I believe was a blessing for us both. To give this baby back to the very appreciative birth mother was a sacrifice of Love I will never forget. Yet I know on a soul level this was a grand lesson.

Another memorable soul-opening moment was when my friend of 13 years, and my partner now, asked me when we became a couple if I would live on a farm with him. That moment was a spark that lit us both up. I smile thinking of this. That to me was like being asked to be his bride, but in such a way that was so much more.

My friend and partner Rudy have had a soul connection for a good part of our lives. It took me years to understand and learn about relationships and how they grow. Rudy and I both agree: our elders were right when they expressed the importance of friendship first. In our soulmate connection, that is the foundation of our Love.

When do you feel your most soulful? Eating Rudy’s cooking makes me feel truly soulful. There's nothing like healthy, cooked food that is made with Love as the main ingredient. I've the same Love for cooking, and as I learn new Mexican recipes I'm soul connected to my family in this way.

Also dancing at the Barter Faires here in Washington during Drum circle is a soulful and passionate experience; there is no way to describe the passion and fire felt within. It's like being filled up empowered and renewed. Dance is powerful.

Where have you felt the most in touch with your own soul? The past several years it has been at work in Mother Nature's soil in my garden. When I begin the vegetable seedlings, I'm full of hope and excitement at the possibility that what I plant will grow. When it does, I'm elated! When the little tendrils pull their seed heads from the soil, I feel at this awe-inspiring moment I just can't help but giggle and share this joy with the whole world.

The other aspect of gardening is my hands working the soil beside my front door. We have an urban garden. It is work and sweat toward this great goal of making food so that I may share it. This gift of gardening runs in my family, and I am happy it has been passed down through generations. My great-grandmother Miquela, my mother, and then myself and other family too. High five to all those gardeners out there.

Another time recently of feeling in touch with my soul was when my son Nikolas was running the Bloomsday Race in Spokane WA. My partner Rudy was worried about losing him in the crowd after he crossed the finish line. I asked him to follow, and to just trust me. There were over 51,000 people running in the race alone. We spotted each other in the huge, tight, moving crowd. We both smiled with surprise as soon as our eyes met. Anything is possible with a soul connection. My son Nik and I connect naturally and it's a joy to experience!

I too feel in touch with my soul when I am at home surrounded by my four dogs. I feel in touch with my feelings, and theirs. I love our special pack.

Who is one of the most soulful people you know? The very first person who came to my mind is my friend Rex. He is one of the most loving accepting, caring, feeling humans being I’ve ever met in my life. I met him when I went and lived in Nevada briefly, so very many years ago, and have continually remained friends. I feel him sometimes and smile. Sometimes I wonder if he is out in the desert in his teepee making copper jewelry and looking at what beads to put together, or stones to add to a necklace or bracelet. He also amazes me at his acceptance of Life and what comes his way. He’s a very peaceful man that I've noticed loves to share openly and happily with all who cross his path. Whether playing his guitar, selling his jewelry, or in meditation circle. His laugh is also vibrant and strong.

Also Mary of my hometown in WA who I’ve seen grow as a very lovely woman through the years as I lived in that town and worked with her for a time and now via Facebook, with her poetry, pictures of nature, and insight and thoughts on everyday life. With these folks its easy to feel them even from afar, and easy to love them for their unique and loving ways.

What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? The ability to be open with Love and kindness, to grow from life’s experiences and especially through the challenges. Teach it to the world as students that are gaining wisdom. Being aware, feeling, joy, heartaches and difficulties in all honesty. To also be a student of Life and be open to learning from another soul as they walk their own path. Looking at another’s life and smiling for them because of their happiness and radiating that joy with a smile toward a perfect stranger in passing. Also both humor and laughter is a great soul connection to share, and its so easy and healing too. The ability to laugh at yourself and with others, now that is a fantastic quality.

What do you feel your soul’s purpose is? To live happily, and share that happiness. Welcome positive-minded and loving people into my circle on a soul level. To be a giver, to be a gardener, to be a comedian in my own dilemmas or for the sheer joy of it. To allow myself to feel the full array of emotion of being. My soul purpose is to be good to myself and be good to others as much as humanly or as spiritually possible. To make a difference, not by another’s standards, but by being able to look in the mirror and smile fully knowing I have so much to give. That I am all about Love.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with us? I was overjoyed and nervous when I got your message when asked if I was ready to be the next Woman of Soul. My soul said yes. Thank you so much. I'm blushing right now, hoping I've worded things that make sense for this interview. This interview allowed time to appreciate and be grateful for so very much that life is.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey here on The Soulmate Experience. What you post on your Facebook page is awesome for pondering and introspection. Words of wisdom, words of love, words to pass along on this fantastic journey of life. Thank you.

The journey of my spirit got a jump start when I realized that my belief system needed an overhaul. I realized, by traveling for quite some time in the wrong direction, that my soul was part of a wonderful universe which was of my making. If I decided that today was going to be a crappy day, it usually was. I began to change my thinking. This started with what I believed to be the infinite power that provides the universe with all that we seek.

I had looked for all kinds of sustenance from many different sources. I always found myself alone and frustrated. Where was this love everyone talked about? I know I felt it once a long time ago. It was wonderful when it wasn't terrible. I didn't find it until I allowed the infinite power of the universe to be my supplier. It made sense. I had looked for love in places where a limited supply was to be found. When I directed my desires to the universe, I realized that this was the infinite source of all things and the best part is this realization is that I knew that I was part of it.

This meant that if I looked within, to that part of me that was of the infinite universe, I would find all that I needed. I realize now that I am a mirror of what I seek. I had to see the most beautiful part of myself in order to be happy with what I found elsewhere. It is when I changed how I looked at myself that I found infinite resources to use at my discretion.

I was still lost until I started to meditate. I got quiet, listened to nice music, and started to change. I started to see that I was having a hard time seeing beauty in the world because the waste products of my life were in the way. Can you imagine what your house would look like if you never cleaned it? I had some housecleaning to do.

I got rid of all of the feelings that were not serving me. I kept the joy and made it a foundation on which to build a new life. When I built on joy as a foundation for living, my vision became one of beauty. I no longer saw the ghosts of the life I had left behind. I saw good in everything. Even the most diabolical of all entities served a purpose—to motivate all that is good.

I now have a rich and rewarding life. I am starting a business network of services that will promote joy, prosperity and abundance to those that find me. I started with a little project using my animation skills that tells the story of my life. My meditation DVD, Shining Spirit Meditations, is available on Amazon.com. Its children are there too. My meditation downloads offer a variety of journeys to help nourish the soul. I have continued posting daily thoughts, based on my life in paradise, Fort Lauderdale, on my Shining Spirit Meditation Facebook page. You can find them all under one roof at my website, Shining Spirit Meditation.

I am finding relationships that nourish my soul. I attract people that are kind, peaceful and wonderful. I do this by becoming the person that I would like to fall in love with. I am.
