Describe one of the most soul-opening moments of your life. In December of 2010 I had the opportunity to experience some quiet time because I was on break from school and work. This was a period where I had been unclear about where my personal and professional life was going. These two areas were really weighing on my conscious and I felt conflicted about options and choices, so gratefully I released my children to grandparents and took on the quest for ME. It was during this period of stillness and honest reflection that I experienced my soul’s message. Clarity was ever-present for me. The understanding of what I was meant to do and how it would be carried out came forth. I experienced sheer delight to the point of giddiness. I am now pursuing an education in psychology, with the ultimate goal of a doctorate degree for the practice that assists others with the healing of the mind and soul.

When do you feel your most soulful? The sweetest place for me to be is with myself. I relish time alone sitting in the center of my bed simply breathing long, deep breaths. It is quiet. I practice settling the chatter that goes on inside my head. Thoughts of acceptance and love are usually what comes to the forefront. Here is where I concentrate on my intentions towards myself as well as all that I affect.

What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? A soulful relationship between any being(s) includes vulnerability, honesty and transparency. These qualities are so necessary to experience the fullness of the parties involved. However, naturally daunting these qualities may be for humans, allowing ourselves to “be” in each one maximizes the benefits each stands to gain from the relationship experience.
