A Woman with Soul: René Couret
René is a director, actor, model, and all-around entrepreneur—say hello on her Facebook page!
Describe one of the most soul-opening moments of your life. One of the most soul-opening moments in my life was the birth of my son. When I had him, it was as if I knew my purpose in life was to love him. Without realizing it, the second most soul-opening moment in my life was the death of my son six months after he was born. He was very sick and it was a time for me to be closest to God because I knew that Gregory was an angel and there was a bigger message in all of this. He was alive for as long as he needed to be to bring me a greater message of love. He inspired me to live my dreams and I never looked back. Anytime I feel like giving up, I think of him and am reminded that his spirit is with me, guiding me and inspiring me along the way.
Tell us about when you feel your most soulful. I feel my most soulful when I am giving my love to people who need it—when I am giving/serving others and seeing the fruits of my labor come to fruition by their breakthroughs. I especially love when I make my own breakthroughs and start to see the bigger picture and how the pieces of the puzzle all link together. It reminds me to just go with the flow because there is always a bigger picture. When I live this way, it reminds me that there is no reason to fear the unknown.
Where in the world have you felt the most in touch with your own soul? I am the most in touch with my soul when I am walking in nature, sun shining down on me, birds singing to me as I walk by. It’s a time to truly be with God and know that I am loved in so many ways—in ways that not one person, or one entity could possibly explain to me. Life is love and I feel totally consumed in it. This place is very special for me because God is the greatest artist and to see the different parts of life working in harmony reminds me that I am okay, and that I am a part of this infinite cycle of life.
Describe one of the most soulful people you’ve ever known. Mali and Joe of course! Two people whose power together light up a spark to over 40-thousand people in their Facebook community, and I’m sure so many more who have read The Soulmate Experience. The day that I connected with Mali on twitter, I knew that she and I shared a special connection and she has helped me so much in the development of myself, my ability to love another, and reading The Soulmate Experience has been like a Bible in my life; I look to it for strength, inspiration, and it is like a mirror for my soul.
What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? A soulful relationship is one that is between two people who are working on deeply knowing themselves, while not being afraid to be vulnerable, and giving their love to someone who needs it. A mutually soulful relationship is when two people give their power to each other and that power together ignites inspiration for all who know them. They help each other heal, look to each other for inspiration, and know that their relationship is an important balance in life.
What do you feel your soul’s purpose is? I’ve had to endure a lot of tragedy to get to where I am today. My soul is very open to life and learning opportunities. I feel that it is my soul’s purpose to give this inspiration and love to others. To be a mentor, a good friend, a good teacher, and inspire others through action and proof that if I can succeed through the many obstacles life puts in our way, then anyone can.
