A Woman with Soul: Pamela Puray
Tell us about a deep soul connection that you’ve experienced. In my life, every person I meet is a soul with a purpose, but there are few who become significant: my ancestors, my family, and friends. A few years ago there was an encounter I call “Miles away, Oceans apart… but connected by chance through the heart.” A man who’s totally at a distance, by age, achievement, race and culture and yet I felt closer and connected… It enlightens me that souls are one, no prejudice, no discrimination… only love prevails.
What is one of the most soul-opening moments of your life? Ironic, soul-opening moments in my life come out of pain and fear… Coming from a country (the Philippines) that’s been tested a lot gives me the opportunities to let out the soul in me: near-death experiences, typhoons, floods and even accidents show me the possibility that at anytime, anything will end and what matters is how much I have loved. It also shows me a lot of beautiful souls who are there to make things easier and make you feel that you matter, however bad the situation is.
On the brighter side, our country is blessed with the beauty of nature, and nature enlightens me of how many blessings of love I receive from above.
Each person, everything and every moment, plays a part on letting out the soul in me.
I will also add that my sharing in The Soulmate Experience serves as a key to my soul opening. TSE encourages and uncovers my soul.
When do you feel your most soulful? I am most soulful when I am with nature, reading books from great souls, connecting with friends, doing meditations and exercise and when I capture a beautiful moment…And most of all when I am alone and in silence.
Where in the world have you felt the most in touch with your own soul? At my ancestral home, in the garden of my mother. It’s special because it’s the place where I spent most of my life. It’s a place where I felt closer to the divine nature, to the soul of my parents and it’s there that I can recharge my energy, feel at peace and feel the love in my heart.
Before meeting my soul, it was like a journey in which there are two roads to take, one to heaven and the other to hell. But later I realized things that darken my life are also the things that motivate me to find the light. Searching for love makes me a beggar, and yet the pain it gives leads me back to myself. And there I found the love that heals my soul… and I believe I can be my own soul mate too.
Who is one of the most soulful people you’ve ever known? Aside from my parents, the most soulful people are people I haven’t met in person, but I admire for the way their souls embrace the world with love. That’s Pope John Paul II, Mother Theresa and the Dalai Lama.
What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? For me a soulful relationship is something I am still looking forward, it is simply pure love, no condition, no expectations and without limitations.
What do you feel your soul’s purpose is? It’s freeing myself from the prison of my own creation, of fears, limitations, anger and negative emotions… healing myself through love and acceptance, leading to my higher purpose and that is to love others and most all to my soul mate. In the end love is all that matters.
