Tell us about a deep soul connection that you’ve experienced. My relationship with my husband is one of the deepest soul connections I’ve ever experienced. I started to realize it even before things became romantic between us. Initially just friends having met through work, we became close not long after we started spending more time together. We’ve always been able to discuss anything and everything, and I’ve always felt it easy to be very open with him. It is through our connection that I re-opened myself up to so many possibilities, including opening my heart to receive love more fully. Through challenges we’ve grown stronger together. Ours is definitely a soulmate connection, and I’m so very grateful to have him in my life.

When do you feel your most soulful? I feel the most soulful whenever I get out and into nature. Going on a nature walk, being near water, or even just smelling the rain are all ways that I truly feel connected to the one Spirit that animates everything. Watching everything in nature work in concert together helps me to pull back, and see the larger picture whenever I’m too stuck on trying to sort out details.

Nighttime is when I feel most creative. I flow with the phase of the moon, and I feel cradled by the night sky. If I can’t get outside for whatever reason, meditation, singing, dancing, and laughing are also great ways to keep me grounded and feeling soulful.

Who is one of the most soulful people you’ve ever known? My son is probably the most soulful person I’ve ever known. He made his entrance into this world with such an intense, boisterous cry, which totally suits his personality up to this point. He is extremely passionate about anything he focuses on and interests him enough. His laughter is incredibly rich, and I wish I could bottle the enthusiasm he feels for some of the simplest things. He has inspired me to change and grow for the better, and I feel so blessed to have such an amazing son!

What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? I think first and foremost, reciprocity is an important quality of a soulful relationship. I think both need to explore deep beneath the surface. Open communication, trust, honesty, acceptance, support, and so much love… these are qualities of a soulful relationship. I feel that soulmate connections aren’t limited only to romantic relationships, but can be experienced with friends and relatives too, as long as both can connect authentically on a deep level.

What do you feel your soul’s purpose is? I feel that both healing and teaching are my purpose. I wish to facilitate healing through the healing arts, and educate as many eager students as possible on ways to live a healthier lifestyle. Educating others can begin by just being the walking example. I feel that taking control of our health leads to such a sense of empowerment, and freedom. Empowering as many people as possible this way, is simply following my bliss, and my calling.
