A Man with Soul: Jamall Nash
I’d like to say thank you to Mali and Joe of The Soulmate Experience. I write daily yet found myself come alive and become a element of this dialogue. I really enjoyed the vibe of this Q and A session: it absolutely brought me to my center, opening me to a better meaning of myself and my purpose. I pray for everyone words of hope, faith, peace, and of course Love. Thanks again.
Tell us about a deep soul connection that you’ve experienced. One soul connection I experienced has really moved me and has been infinitely awakening. She is an ex-girlfriend, and I don’t think there is anything more powerful than two hearts synchronized, in rhythm, and so respondent to one another. That configure and move of God carried a bounce and energy that is rare. As strangers we experienced an uncanny pull; in relationship we connected in song, prose, and nature. In absence I still feel the call of her soul. I ask for nothing, and attempt to ignore what my intuition explores, but the energy is always there. It was a true affair of the soul.
When do you feel your most soulful? On any given day I can be rendered my most soulful at a period between the partial darkness of day and night. I’m with myself, paper, and pen (my mighty sword). I am essentially rendered captive, the wind is blowing, it may be raining and me and my soul are in rhythm with the universe. I feel nostalgic, hopeful, light, and in the palm of God’s hands. I am free and in life’s splendor.
Where have you felt the most in touch with your soul? I tell you, there is a place on earth that sustains my soul, holds me captive, and dwells within. I’m caught traveling on a spiritual montage and carousel I never would even ponder escaping. I’m just a particle of the wind in the grace of its beauty. This place is a home of my heart—it is an atmosphere of Love for me. This place is the Caribbean island of Barbados with its coral reefs and its volumes of blue horizons. Just the thought of it mystifies me.
Who is one of the most soulful people you’ve ever known? There are three occupants in my answer to this question. My Mother and oldest brother carry parallel or twin souls. They have natural spirits, highly intuitive visionaries who can help understand life’s intangibles because of their spiritual prowess as well as tuned connection to God’s word. Additionally, Mom carries an unshakable peace that defies description, along with gentleness and quietness of spirit I can only liken to wind. I hope God has configured some of the design He created in her in me as well. She has truly been a life experience. Also my best friend: she allows herself to be free, vulnerable, and fallible. Yet at the same time strong, graceful, and loving without setting parameters upon herself. Her soul is always open to those in her world and I have a connection with her that is quite unique.
What qualities do you feel a soulful relationship has? So many intangibles and tangibles to this question. I cite three in a world of many: acceptance, peace and strength. Acceptance, for the spirit of access; it benefits weathering many storms a relationship encounters without losing the goodness of its light. Peace, merely for the spirit of harmony, to co-exist as a whole while allowing space and peace in your togetherness in the immortal words of Khalil Gibran. Finally, strength, the spirit of vigor. To allow the soul of the connection to evolve in courage, influence, and completeness as it carries a glue that thrives because of its potency and balance.
What do you feel your soul’s purpose is? I believe my soul’s purpose is simply to remain open. To be graceful, a backdrop of life that survives as a instrument of peace. To mirror back to others the most elevated parts of themselves. Encouragement, expansion, forwardness, and grace. We move together expanding our hearts so that we are allowing the correct essences, spirits, and variables to come in and experience the highest source of this Soul Experience.
